Lying To You- Keaton Henson
Title: Lying To You
Artist: Keaton Henson
For Fans Of: William Fitzsimmons, Bon Iver, James Vincent McMorrow
I cannot put into words how I feel about this song. It was my favorite song of 2012, so it is perfectly fitting that one of the first posts of the year is the brand new studio version. Previously I had heard it on the Mahogany Sessions here, a heart-wrenching performance consisting of Keaton, a Little Martin guitar, and a cat. This recording trades the mini-acoustic for Keaton’s trademark clean electric, and features swirling strings that perfectly accent the emotion of the song, not once intruding upon the intimacy of the lyrics.
Silver Platter (prod. Carnage)- KYLE [Video]

The biggest jam in ages, with a Sandlot-inspired video that warrants watching it over and over.
Mix: raving/riots: best of 2012
Ah, the end of the year. With the conclusion of every calendar year comes the torrent of Best-Of Lists. A year of music, boiled down to the “top” songs as dictated by Pitchfork, Jenny Eliscu, and Hype Machine charts.
The raving/riots best of list is not that. These are just 35 tracks from the past twelve months that meant something to us. Grab the mix and enjoy some of the sounds that made 2012 such a rad year.
